Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Remnant, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Remnant. If you use Remnant on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. The service

Remnant records audio you choose to capture, transcribes it, and generates study material from it: scripture references, insights, prayer points, action items, reflections and summaries. Features may change over time.

5. AI-generated content

Transcripts and generated insights are produced by automated systems and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided to assist your own study and are not a substitute for the teaching itself, scripture, or pastoral guidance. You are responsible for how you rely on them.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the recordings and notes you create. You grant Remnant a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you (for example, transcription and analysis). You are responsible for having the right to record a given gathering and for complying with local recording laws and any venue's rules.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to reverse-engineer the app, scraping data, interfering with its operation, or using Remnant for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The Remnant app, website, branding and software are owned by Remnant and its licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights in them except the right to use the app as intended.

9. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation

Remnant offers a free tier and a paid subscription (monthly or annual). Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep Remnant available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service.

11. Disclaimers

Remnant is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated output.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remnant's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using Remnant and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use after that means you accept the revised terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Remnant's principal place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction over that location.
